The following is part of a summation, prepared by a Zoologist, of life on the planet Earth. Commissioned by a Higher Authority, yet to be imagined by the subjects of the study, the thesis investigates the relation ships existing between various life forms.

Anthropoids/Communication/Ego

The anthropoids are socially organized predators with the delusional belief that they have advanced communication skills and that all other things, be they animal, vegetable or mineral are, by Divine Right, for their exclusive use. Having the ability to reason and investigate they do however, lack the capability to compare in anything other than anthropoid terms. The species are varied and distributed widespread over their planet.  Curiously, they term their differences by Racial, Ethnic, Religious and Cultural descriptions (all with seemingly endless sub-categories).  They are often incapable of communicating effectively amongst themselves and, at any given time, one group is trying to annihilate another. Strangely, they are fascinated to find out how other species communicate and how they themselves can communicate with other species.  They seem to be obsessed with finding other intelligent life in the Universe.  Of course, their understanding of intelligence is based upon the opinion they have of themselves.

Canines/Communication

'Probably originating on the planet Pluto, and transported to Earth as part of some long forgotten interplanetary inter-species experiment, they seem to be accepted by some anthropoids, on certain parts of the planet, as being flattering parasites. These specimens are seemingly well cared for and, in many instances, are accepted as having family status within humanoid groups. On other regions of the planet they have less status and live parallel and separate lives on the fringes of the dominant species.   In this setting they tend to become socially organized and predatory.   Most canines have the persistent delusional belief that humans, at some time in the future, will finally understand that a dog is a dog and that a dog will never become a human.  

 They do however, have an efficient system of communication between themselves based on body language and the olfactory senses. Unlike the anthropoids, they seem to be content with their place in the greater scheme of things and seemingly have no desire to tilt the balance of evolution. They would, however, prefer to have those who presume to have greater intelligence be smart enough to converse and confer with them in a language that is understandable, rather than continually barraging them with their brand of unintelligible gibberish.'

Now, just imagine.. 

Imagine how the initial meeting would go between an English speaking Russian Orthodox Christian, born and raised in predominately Catholic Ireland, and a Japanese speaking Argentinean Catholic, born and raised in predominately Shinto Japan.   Restrained by learned and evolved limitations such as, Linguistics, Culture, Ethnicity and Religion, the encounter and exchange of information would be awkward to say the least.

Now, imagine how the initial meeting would go between an Irish Wolfhound, born and raised in Russia, and a Japanese Akita born and raised in Argentina. Immediately and effectively through the basic mediums of body language and scent, information would be exchanged which would be important to them.

Canines and humans as a species have been highly successful at dominating the planet, both evolving to become what they are at this point in time. Neither one, in reality, being more advanced than the other, just different. Along the evolutionary road, humans have developed sophisticated linguistic skills that divided and subdivided.  Canines, in the main, stuck to the basics.

 Humans, superior as they believe themselves to be, are unable to communicate efficiently with others of their kind outside of their self-imposed cliques, having lost many basic communication skills. Becoming ever reliant on technology it is now possible to never be physically together to do anything - even procreate.
