Starring
Kura, Ruti, Queda & Bhoy-Bhoy
Three
of the dogs are in the back of an old pick-up truck, barking
excitedly as it pulls up to a farmhouse. The owner gets
out and shouts at the dogs to be quiet. No problem. End of
scene. Sometime later.. the farewell scene.
Everything is set up for dialogue between the actors - the dogs
have been waiting patiently and silently for their owner to
return. All is quiet as the Director goes through the necessary
series of commands ..."Sound".. "Rolling"...
"ACTION!" - at which point the dogs start barking
furiously followed by the Director barking even more furiously
-"CUT!!!" The dogs were supposed to be quiet as the
actors spoke their lines. During the filming of Grizzly Falls
the dogs had got so used to getting excited and barking at the
word "Action" that, for certain scenes, the Director
had to use another word as a substitute. So.Take two...and.Speak!
Humans are so unpredictable! Again Bhoy-Bhoy's role is that of
an old faithful companion, sitting beside his master as the
radio breaks the news of the death of a President. Quite
poignant.
Plot Outline: This is the Story of a North Carolina woman
and her daughter who take in a mysterious drifter to work their
farm while the woman's husband is missing in action during WWII.
