We
are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in both
breeding and raising Rhodesian Ridgebacks. We
believe that dogs should receive the same respect and rights as
other family members and strive to select families who will
ensure that their dogs' lives are enriched and protected.
As a non-commercial kennel,
we are motivated by our love of dogs and desire to be recognised
as responsible breeders. To enhance our expertise and maintain
our connections to the Ridgeback world, we actively
participate in conformation shows in both Canada and the US.
Tudoridge dogs come
from lines proven to be of sound temperament. Retaining this
characteristic is of primary importance to us. Our puppies
receive exposure to a variety of experiences, including
extensive people and dog socialization, to build outgoing
personalities and well-rounded attitudes. Owners are encouraged to
continue their pet's development by enrolling them in Puppy
Kindergarten and Obedience Training courses. Our
puppies are guaranteed to be free of Hip Dysplasia and Dermoid
Sinus.
Puppy
owners are selected through informal interviews at our home
which all involved family members are expected to
attend. Our pups go to
their new homes when they are 10 weeks old, although their new
families are expected to be involved with them during the 3 - 10
week period as well.
We maintain re-ownership
rights, and should the owners' circumstances change to the
degree that they are unable to keep their dog, we will take it
back and designate and/or approve its' subsequent owners.
"On-call" advice is
available for any aspect of our puppies' health and well being.
We expect to stay in touch with our dogs and welcome their
visits "home".
